The Bandstand Marathon - 9th September - Free Entry

The Bandstand Marathon brings communities together through live music performancesat the same time on the same day. This year, the aim is for 500 events nationwide on Sunday 9th September 2012 from 1:00- 5:00pm.

The event, now in its fifth year, celebrates local music talent. Hosted in the many historic bandstands that adorn our local parks and town centres this festival hassomething for everyone: from Blues to Reggae, Bangra to Rock, Brass Bands toSteel Bands.

Olympic Torch Relay - Wednesday June 27

The London Olympic Committee has announced that the Olympic Torch will travel through East Lindsey on June 27, 2012. The Torch will travel through the following locations as it makes its way from Cleethorpes to Lincoln; Louth, Legbourne, Withern, Maltby Le Marsh, Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe, Sutton on Sea, Mumby, Hogsthorpe, Ingoldmells, Winthorpe, Skegness and Wainfleet.

Family Fun Day - Sunday May 13th (Eastville, about 13 miles from Skegness)

Eastville, Midville and New Leake Playing Field Committee (registered charity: 701534) are holding a Family Fun Day to celebrate the opening of our new children's play park at New Leake Village Hall & Playing Field, Station Road, Eastville, PE22 8LS on Sunday May 13th 2012 from 11am - 3pm. FREE ENTRY

Events include Dog Display, Children's Games and Races, and Fancy Dress Competition (0-10 years). There will also be a variety of trade stalls, bouncy castle, face painting, inflatable slide, car booters, refreshments available, raffle, tombola and much more!

Trade stalls available inside and outside at £10 per pitch. MUST be booked in advance. Contact for details. Car Boot Pitches £5. First come, first served. Gates open at 10.15am for set up.

The Soldiers - Saturday February 4th - 7:30pm

The Soldiers, Embassy Theatre, Skegness

The Soldiers created history by being the first group of serving soldiers to hit the British pop charts. They are soldiers first and foremost, having served in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. They are real life heroes, have several medals between them and can be called up at any time.

Their two top 10 albums, Coming Home and Letters Home, released in the space of a year, exceeded sales of 800,000 and have helped raise over half a million pounds for army charities.
